Adventist Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Radiology Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Radiology Tech you will:

• Prepares patient for diagnostic imaging procedures, explains procedures.
• Produce x-ray films of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical problems.
• Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Ensures that the exam room contains the proper supplies for the diagnostic procedures. Recognizes equipment limitations and malfunctions, ensures proper equipment function and inspections, and reports failures to the Manager.
• Follows department radiation safety procedures and protections in accordance with safety standards for patients and staff.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Prepares patients for radiology procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
• Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Prepares contract media and barium.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates will possess:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiography and/or Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• 1 year imaging experience preferred
• Licensed by the State of Maryland
• CIT preferred
• Valid BLS-CPR certification. Required within 3 months of hire

Work Schedule:

Full Time Monday-Friday (730am-4pm)
