Kid reviews for Shameless (2024)

some of these parents are really overreacting. i think the show is good for 12+ because by that age you usually already know about sex and things like that. the show isn't all about sex and drugs though. i think the family dynamic is nice and by the time i was a couple episodes in i really fell in love with some of the characters. and it does a pretty good job at portraying mental illness. if you really don't watch your kid watching it just watch it with them because they will find a way to watch it without you knowing and that just creates more problems.

I cannot say this enough, some kids are ready some aren’t, 18+ is ridiculous though considering most teens have experienced a lot of the things that they’re rating it that for. I like this show a lot because it’s somewhat realistic without being boring to watch. There is a lot of sex though. And drugs and alcohol but it also has important messages.

I thought it was good white boy Carl should get his own show but it’s probably appropriate for 12 yr and up just cus u definitely see a lot worse in school if you don’t let your kids watch this than don’t let them have a life cus u really see a lot worse

There is a ton of nudity and sex and swearing and drugs. But if your quite mature then it should be fine to watch with an adult. Definitely a must see for people and it is an extremely good show.

I think it very much depends on your child for the age to watch. I Watched every season premiere with my parents my whole childhood and I grew up around a lot of the things in shameless Meaning, if you’ve grown up around drugs, alcohol, sex,lies, scandals, illegal activities, prison exc I think it’s a great show and it doesn’t matter age, but if you were raised in a neighborhood without Prominent Drugs, violence guns exc It would give you the wrong ideas, but if you were already exposed to it from birth, and it doesn’t do any harm and I think it’s an amazing show and It makes me feel less alone in my situation

Honestly an amazing show. It definitely has heavy topics like drugs, sex, etc. but other then that its great. All the mature topics it covers are realistic but i would wait to let my kid watch this until they're at least 13. LOTS of drugs and swearing tho.

I started watching Shameless when I was 12, and I really liked it even at that age. It honestly depends on your kid, if your kid is 12 or 13, but really mature and can understand these types of things, I would let them watch it. It's not all about sex or booze, it also teaches teenagers about the dangers of drugs, alcoholism, unsafe sex, and mental illness. It also has lgbtq and culturally diverse characters in it too.

Brilliant, thrilling, show with lots of action and lots of episodes but in the first couple of seasons there is lots of nudity and sex scenes and throughout the seasons there is drug use, language, and violence, which makes it in-appropriate for some viewers.

I started watching shameless because I kept seeing it on TikTok and also starting thinking Carl is HOT but then decided to wait a little longer because im personally not ready so I’ll prob wait till the end of this year I feel that there’s a little too much graphic content and it should not be shown to kids under 12. EDIT: I decided to continue watching it and I saw a f*cking dick in the first episode
