Our family has been serving as licensed funeral directors for four generations. Established in 1966. In 1966, Marikay and Doug McHoul moved to Hopewell Junction from Boston, MA and opened McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. At the time, Hopewell Junction & the Town of East Fishkill had a population of less than 10,000. However, during the 1970s, IBM began to boom and our town became home to thousands more. In 1981, the McHoul family purchased the adjacent Van Wyck Homestead (1750), where the funeral home remains today. In 2000, with the town’s population near 30,000, the funeral home underwent an extensive addition and renovation. In 2011, the family opened McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. in a historic local homestead to serve the community of Fishkill and surrounding area. To this day, the McHoul Funeral Home remains strictly family owned and operated. We understand that no two families are alike… and we strive to ensure that each funeral is specially tailored to the individual needs of each family we serve.
